Ferrik terms
1. Who this agreement is with
These terms are an agreement between you and Sixteen K Limited ("we", "us"), the company that makes Ferrik. We're registered in England and Wales, company number 17412524, at C/O Cutts & Co, Eden Point, Three Acres Lane, Cheadle, SK8 6RL.
We provide Ferrik and we're responsible for it: what it does, how it works, its delivery to you, and support.
These terms cover the Ferrik desktop app, your Ferrik account and the ferrik.io website. You accept them when you install or use Ferrik, create an account or buy a plan.
We sell paid plans through Stripe Managed Payments. The merchant of record, the company you buy from, is Sold Through Link, LLC, a Delaware company at 354 Oyster Point Boulevard, South San Francisco, California 94080, United States. You'll see it as "Sold through Onelink" in the UK and "Sold through Link" elsewhere. It takes your payment, adds any tax and sends your receipts, and its own terms apply to the purchase: Stripe's consumer terms (the UK version). These terms cover everything else: what you get, how you may use it, and what happens when your plan changes or ends.
How we handle personal data is in our privacy policy.

A few details:
- "No limit set by us" isn't a promise about capacity. How large a site Ferrik can crawl depends on your computer and the site.
- Scheduled crawls run while Ferrik is open. If a crawl was due while it was closed, it runs when you next open it.
- More than 25 seats is by agreement with us. Email support@ferrik.io.
- Features may change. We'll add to Ferrik over time and may change how a feature works. We won't remove something you're paying for during a period you've already paid for.
3. Prices, tax and currency
- Prices are on our pricing page. A paid plan is priced as a base price plus a price for each seat after the first, monthly or annually.
- Prices don't include VAT or sales tax. Onelink adds any tax due where you are and shows the total before you pay.
- There are no set-up or other fees from us. If Onelink charges you in your own currency, its conversion fee applies.
- Your currency depends on where you are: pounds in the UK and Gibraltar, euros in the euro area, and US dollars elsewhere. If your local currency is different, Onelink may offer to charge you in it, converted from the dollar price. Each renewal is then converted at the exchange rate on the day, so the amount in your currency can change, and Onelink's conversion fee applies.
- We sell Ferrik only in the countries where Onelink handles the tax. If we can't sell to you yet, we'll tell you before checkout.
- There's no free trial. The Free plan is there for as long as you want it.
- Price changes. If we change a price, we'll email you at least 30 days before your next renewal. The new price applies from that renewal, and you can cancel before it.
- Founding customers. If you subscribe on or before 28 February 2027, you keep the launch price for as long as your subscription runs without a break, including for seats you add later.
4. Paying and renewing
- Your plan renews automatically. A monthly plan renews every month and an annual plan every year, at the price then in force, until you cancel.
- You pay in advance for each month or year, through Onelink, by the payment methods it offers at checkout.
- Your statement shows
ONELINK* FERRIKorLINK.COM* FERRIK. - Receipts and invoices come from Onelink, not from us.
5. Changing your plan
The account owner makes changes in their Ferrik account. We show Stripe's exact price before you confirm anything.
| Change | When it happens | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Add a seat | As soon as it's paid for | The exact share of the seat's price for the rest of your current period |
| Remove a seat | At the end of the period you've paid for | Nothing now. Your next bill is lower. No refund for the time left |
| Pro to Agency | As soon as the extra seats are paid for | As for adding seats |
| Agency to Pro | At the end of the period you've paid for | Nothing now. No refund for the time left |
| Monthly to annual | Straight away | A year's price, less credit for the unused part of your month. Your renewal date becomes that day |
| Annual to monthly | At your annual renewal | Nothing now. No refund or credit |
White-label reports aren't on sale yet. When they are, we'll add how buying and removing them works here.
- Seats you haven't given to anyone are still charged.
- When you reduce seats, you choose who keeps one. If you don't choose, we keep the owner's seat, then the ones assigned earliest. Nobody loses access before the change takes effect.
- Very small charges may be added to your next bill by Stripe rather than taken at once.
- You can't change your plan while a payment is failing. Sort out the payment first.
6. Cancelling and refunds
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time through Onelink, using the link in your account or on any receipt. Your plan carries on until the end of the period you've paid for, then drops to Free. Nothing on your computer is deleted (section 8).
You can come back whenever you like. When you subscribe again on the same account, your projects and history open again as they were.
Refunds
- Our refund promise. If Ferrik isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment for a plan and you'll get all of it back. Email support@ferrik.io or ask Onelink.
- After that, we don't refund the unused part of a month or year, including when you cancel, remove a seat or change plan.
- Our refund promise works within Stripe Managed Payments' refund policy and the law. Onelink may refund a purchase under its own policy, if you ask within 60 days of paying and for one of the reasons it lists (how to ask; more about buying through Link). Nothing here takes away a refund that policy or the law gives you.
- A full refund of your current period ends your paid plan straight away. A partial refund doesn't change your plan.
Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a charge, tell us first and we'll sort it out. If you dispute a charge with your bank and the bank finds in your favour, your paid plan ends at once and the account can't subscribe again until we've cleared it with you.
7. If a payment fails
- A failed renewal doesn't cut you off at once. Stripe retries your card, and you keep your paid plan for up to 14 days while it does.
- We'll show you a notice in Ferrik and in your account, with the latest date the retries run to. If every attempt fails, your plan ends then or sooner.
- Update your card through Onelink and the plan carries on as normal. If you pay after it has ended, your access comes back.
- If a payment for added seats is overdue, the seats you've already paid for keep working and the added seats don't start. Stripe may cancel the whole subscription if the payment stays unpaid.
8. Your licence
What you get
Ferrik belongs to Sixteen K Limited. We give you a licence to install and use it, on the plan you have, for as long as you keep to these terms. The licence is personal to you or your business; you can't sell it, rent it or pass it on. Parts of Ferrik are open-source software under their own licences, which are listed in the notices file that comes with the app.
Seats and computers
- A seat is for one named person, identified by their email address. It isn't to be shared between people.
- Each seat can be used on two computers. If you go over, Ferrik tells you and lets you release one.
- The account owner manages the account: billing, seats and computers. There's one owner per account. To hand an account to a new owner, for example when a business changes hands, email support@ferrik.io. We do it by hand: we check the request against your payment and business records, tell the current owner, and wait 7 days before making the change.
- On Agency, the owner can move a seat to someone else. The person who had it is told, and loses access to Ferrik on their computers. On Pro, the one seat is always the owner's; to hand Pro to someone else, ask us to change the account's owner.
- You're responsible for the people you give seats to, and for keeping your sign-in details safe.
Licence checks
A paid plan checks in with our licence service from time to time. If Ferrik can't reach it, your plan keeps working for 3 days, and Ferrik tells you it couldn't check and how long is left.
When a paid plan ends
If your plan is cancelled, lapses, or can't be checked for more than 3 days:
- Ferrik drops to the Free plan, and you can keep crawling.
- Projects and history saved under your paid plan are locked. You can't open, compare or export them, and their names aren't shown.
- Nothing is deleted. Your data stays on your computer, and it opens again as it was when your plan is active again.
- You can delete all saved data yourself at any time, on any plan.
What you mustn't do
You mustn't copy Ferrik beyond what you need to use it, take it apart or try to get at its source code (except where the law says you may), get round its licence checks or plan limits, or offer it to others as a hosted service.
9. Using Ferrik responsibly
Ferrik crawls websites from your computer, on your instructions.
- Crawl only sites you own or have permission to audit. You're responsible for the sites you crawl, how hard you crawl them, and what you do with the results.
- Ferrik identifies itself as
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Ferrik; +https://ferrik.io/bot)and follows the robots.txt of the site you crawl. You mustn't change it to hide what it is or to get round a site's rules. - Don't use Ferrik to break the law, to overload or damage a site, or to collect personal data you have no right to.
- Google and other services you connect are used under your own account and their terms. Keys you paste into Ferrik are yours to look after.
- A site owner who asks us about Ferrik's visits will be told how to control them with robots.txt. We can't tell them who crawled, because we don't know.
10. Your data
- Your crawl data is yours and stays on your computer. We don't have a copy and can't recover it for you.
- Backing up is up to you. A paid plan includes a backup tool. If your computer fails and you have no backup, the data is gone.
- Your reports are yours to use and share with your clients.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas for Ferrik, we may use them without owing you anything.
11. Support, updates and availability
- Support is by email at support@ferrik.io. We aim to reply within two working days.
- Ferrik runs on Windows.
- Updates. We'll release fixes and improvements from time to time. Some may be needed for Ferrik to keep working with your plan.
- We don't promise the licence service or your account pages will always be up. That's why a paid plan keeps working for 3 days without them.
12. What we promise, and what we don't
We promise to provide Ferrik with reasonable care and skill, and that it will do, in substance, what we say it does on ferrik.io.
We don't promise that Ferrik will find every problem on a site, that it's free of errors, or that acting on what it finds will improve your rankings, traffic or sales. Ferrik reports what it measured. What you do with that is your decision, and so is the advice you give your own clients.
Other services. Ferrik works with sites and services we don't control, such as the sites you crawl, Google and Onelink. We aren't responsible for them, for changes they make, or for data they supply.
Limits on what we owe you
- We don't limit what the law says we can't: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't legally be limited.
- We aren't liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost business or goodwill, loss of search rankings or traffic, lost or damaged data, or any indirect loss.
- Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid for Ferrik in the 12 months before the claim arose. On the Free plan it's limited to £100.
- We aren't liable for anything outside our reasonable control.
You agree these limits are reasonable for software at this price, used by a business that keeps its own backups.
13. Suspending or ending your plan
- You can stop at any time by cancelling (section 6) or simply not using Ferrik.
- We can suspend or end your paid plan if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, use Ferrik unlawfully, or a bank upholds a chargeback against us. We'll tell you why. Unless it's urgent or unlawful to wait, we'll give you 14 days to put it right first.
- If we end your plan and you hadn't broken these terms, we'll refund the unused part of what you paid.
- We may stop offering Ferrik altogether. If we do, we'll give you at least 90 days' notice and refund the unused part of any annual plan.
- When a plan ends, section 8 applies: Ferrik drops to Free and your data stays on your computer.
14. Who can use Ferrik
Ferrik is for anyone who looks after a website: as a business, a freelancer, a hobbyist or anything else. You don't have to be a business to use it or to buy a plan. You must be 18 or over to create an account or buy one. If you're accepting these terms for a company, you confirm you're allowed to.
If you buy as a consumer (for yourself rather than for a business, trade or profession), nothing in these terms takes away your rights under consumer law, including any right to cancel the purchase that Stripe's consumer terms or the law give you.
15. The legal particulars
- Changes to these terms. We may update them. If a change matters, we'll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then; carrying on means you accept the change.
- The whole agreement. These terms, our privacy policy and the prices and plan you bought are the whole agreement between us about Ferrik.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Passing this on. You can't transfer this agreement without our agreement. We can transfer it if we sell or reorganise the business, and we'll tell you.
- Nobody else has rights under it.
- The law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute.
- Contact. support@ferrik.io, or by post to the address in section 1.
